Subject: Bug Report – Instant Hexproof Spell Did Not Prevent Removal
Description:
During a game of MTG Arena, my opponent targeted my creature with a removal spell (e.g., Fatal Push). In response, I cast an instant spell that grants Hexproof (e.g., Tamiya’s Safekeeping) targeting my creature. However, despite resolving the Hexproof-granting spell before the removal, my creature was still destroyed.
This seems to indicate that the Hexproof was either not applied correctly or was ignored by the removal spell, even though the stack should have resolved in the correct order.
Expected Behavior:
The Hexproof-granting instant should resolve first, giving my creature Hexproof, thereby making it an illegal target for the removal spell on resolution. The removal spell should have fizzled.
Actual Behavior:
Even after resolving the Hexproof spell, the removal spell still resolved and destroyed my creature.
Please investigate this interaction. It seems inconsistent with the rules of Magic: The Gathering.

Did your opponent have Nowhere To run on the field? If so, then this is not a bug.
