Obzedat, Ghost Council exile bug for midweek magic event 7/9/2025
During this week's midweek magic event if you get Obzedat, Ghost Council and use the exile ability it does not return on your next upkeep and just vanishes out of exile and completely out of the game. I assume this has something to do with the game mechanics of this week's event, and would also assume this occurs with other similar abilities like Teysa, but cannot confirm.

It's because that Obzedat is a TOKEN. Tokens go to any zone they are sent to, but they cannot leave that new zone anymore, and cease to exist shortly after arriving, when state based actions are checked. So getting Obzedat is mostly bad luck, just like getting a Hydra that needs an amount of X paid when cast to get enough counters to stay alive.
