Mana
I’ve had several instances where I’ve played Esper Sentinel then put several +1/+1 counters on him but his ability won’t function correctly and opponents are still able to cast non creature cards for their normal mana cost. I’ve had instances myself even where I have 3 mana left amongst lands, creatures, and mana rocks but able to cast 4-5 mana cost spells. The Arenas mana isn’t working correctly as of rn essentially.

Your opponent has a total of 11 cards, you have a total of 15 (not counting commanders). So you must have drawn at least 3 extra cards. 4 if you were the starting player. Your opponent has 3 nonland permanents, which is consistent with them having cast them and not paid for the Sentinel, getting you 3 extra cards.
