while playing on PC through steam library on 7/28/25 around 2:45. I hit an opponent dealing 220 infect while they had phyrexian unlife out. They did not lose to infect. It went to their turn they played solemnity after having the -220. they won by approach of the second sun this should be a loss for them due to game rules and states of action.

Since they apparently had -220 life, they had positive life before combat damage was dealt. Since combat damage happens as a single event, their life total was reduced and they received NO poison counters, because the Unlife's replacement effect was not yet active. It BECAME active right after combat damage was dealt and processed into damage results turning their life total negative. But they could not lose for having 0 or less life due to Unlife, so they stayed in the game. Them playing Solemnity the next turn then prevented them from getting poison counters, which your next attack would have resulted in due to Unlife' replacement effect.
