Viconia is defective
When viconis specializes she gains power and toughness, but nothing else ever happens- discarded card is not copied/no additional abilities are gained. (Bloodghast was discarded as specialization cost.

You have to exile a creature card from a graveyard to have Viconia be able to summon a copy of it into your hand. That ability is still present on the black specialized Viconia.
