No hexproof
I had 4 creatures on the board and the enemy played Split Up. I proceeded to use Snakeskin Veil on my Mossborn Hydra so give it hexproof to protect it from dying. So Snakeskin Veil landed then when Split Up landed it destroyed my Mossborn Hydra. How can a creature with hexproof die from a opponent's spell. This cost me the game and I was going to hit for 600+ damage the next turn

Split Up does not target, so hexproof is irrelevant. Only the word "target" indicates a target, merely being affected does not make an object or player a target.
