Kellan the kid + Exper Origins
1- Play with Kellan the Kid and Esper Origins
2- Turn 2 Play Esper Origins by its normal cost
3- Turn 3 Play Kellan the Kid
4- Turn 4 cast Esper Origins by it's flashback cost, it won't trigger Kellan's ability for some reason in any way.

Kellan's ability doesn't trigger with the flashback cost of Esper Origins for neither cards with the same cost or lands
Espected Results
Cast a cast with the same cost or last from your hand for free or drop a land.

But this is also in Kellan's Text:
If you don't, you may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield.And it was not the case
Also I believe I tried it with multiple mana costs, including 2.
Here is the full text on him.
Flying, lifelink, Whenever you cast a spell from anywhere other than your hand, you may cast a permanent spell with equal or lesser mana value from your hand without paying its mana cost. If you don't, you may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield. -

Kellan the Kid allows you to cast a permanent spell with lesser or equal mana value. Esper Origins costs 2, even when you are using its flashback cost, so you would need a creature, enchantment, artifact, battle, or planeswalker that costs 2 or less in your hand to use Kellan's ability.
Lands are not permanent spells.
