Let me use instants in combat after blocks are declared.
I wanted to use an instant in combat , but wasn't allowed so my creatures just died.

And you can. But cards like Voice of Victory, Grand Abolisher, Myrel, and Kutzil exist to stop you from casting spells on your opponent's turn.
