When playing best two out of three games, winning a game isn't being counted correctly for ranking during a loss. At Platinum ranking, winning one game and losing two should be a minus-one change in rank but is instead a minus-two, the same as losing two games without winning any.

I'm open to being pointed to when this changed if it was intentional but I don't see any articles discussing the change and it makes best-of-three games pointless
