Romantic rendezvous Incorrect functionality
When playing in the midweek magic: omniscience draft event, playing romantic rendezvous with no cards in hand makes you draw 2 cards without discarding any card. You shouldn’t be able to cast that spall if you have no cards in hand to discard.
I’m currently playing on iPad, and I’m not shure if this is happening in other formats or events too.

You are mistaking the card for other variants, where discarding a card is an additional cost. But in the case of Romantic Rendezvous, the discard is part of the effect, not a cost, and it comes before the draw. This means, that if you do not have a card to discard, you don't discard, and then you draw two cards. Impossible instructions in a spell's or ability's effect are simply ignored.
