In a powered cube match my opponent played a gideon ally of zendikar. he activated it's +0 ability to create a 2/2 creature token and passed the turn back to me. On my turn I attacked the gideon with two 1/1 flying spirit tokens. They were unblocked and when they went to do damage and I assume lower the loyalty on the planeswalker, no such thing happened it stayed at 4 loyalty. my opponent then proceeded to kill me over the next few turns with the gideon attacking me because there was no point in me trying to attack it anymore.
