new card idea
artifact 1 casting, comes into play tapped, taps for 1 colorless mana. Not a Sol Ring. "Urza's pinky ring".
"Urza's Pocket Watch" = 3 casting cost artifact, 1 or 2 mana and tap to put a "NEGATIVE mana counter" on target player. that "Negative" mana counter lasts for one turn, and through the phases... must be paid first !! quote for card. Dial me forward or them backward a minute or two? (add a mana to you, or take one from them, how to get ahead?)
or.. "Anti Lotus Petal".. or "Dark Lotus Petal"... zero casting cost, sacrifice this artifact to put a "anti" or "negative mana counter" on target player. or or "Poison Petal", 3 green mana, target player gets 3 "negative" mana counters. "Anti Trample" =artifact for 3 casting, taps to remove trample from a target creature. "anti" all abilities.. flying, first strike, etc.

One for one mana in an artifact does not break any math rules for magic. Sets the base line. One land, or artifact.. one for one by mana standards vs physical card. Even, not broken. that is why it comes into play tapped. what about 4 blue mana spell.. instant.. target player can't draw cards this turn... you instead draw those cards, if drawing is made to happen. your deck, not theirs. just draw, not steal their deck.
