bug: leyline of transformation and earthbending dont work together
if i have leyline of transformation out and i earthbend a land, that creature land does not gaiin the required creature type of leyline of designation and is not is not listed as a creature type on the earthbended land. for example:
leyline on the board making all creatures human when i earthbend a land it is not listed as human.

Characteristic-defining abilities function outside the game, so I don't think either of them are. The specific rules are:
604.3. Some static abilities are characteristic-defining abilities. A characteristic-defining ability conveys information about an object's characteristics that would normally be found elsewhere on that object (such as in its mana cost, type line, or power/toughness box). Characteristic-defining abilities can add to or override information found elsewhere on that object. Characteristic-defining abilities function in all zones. They also function outside the game and before the game begins.
604.3a A static ability is a characteristic-defining ability if it meets the following criteria: (1) It defines an object's colors, subtypes, power, or toughness; (2) it is printed on the card it affects, it was granted to the token it affects by the effect that created the token, or it was acquired by the object it affects as the result of a copy effect or text-changing effect; (3) it does not directly affect the characteristics of any other objects; (4) it is not an ability that an object grants to itself; and (5) it does not set the values of such characteristics only if certain conditions are met.

In addition to the leyline not giving an earthbent creature the designated type, banner of kinship also doesn't boost their power and toughness.
Just learned that. Had it happen last night after making the brew but confirmed that there is something up with it today after it happened again.
just as well though, the 10 Badgermole Cubs and the 8 addition Banners did the job despite the lands remaining 1/1 -

I also ran into this. Some more info:
It works if you play the Leyline after earthbending. This makes me think it's going to timestamps in Layer 4. I'm not a judge, so I'm not sure if that is correct. It certainly feels like the Leyline should be dependent on the Earthbending effect, but it's hard to tell by the rules. I'm not sure which of them is and isn't a characteristic-defining ability.
