If you need to file for reimbursement because your issue impacted a Magic Online event, please fill out our Request Reimbursement  form instead.

Before You Create a New Report


Before you create a new report, please enter the issue in the Issue Title field below to see if your issue has already been reported. It is a good idea to limit this to a few key words, like a card name or specific feature.

Example:  Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t bring up results, so use Shivan instead of Shiv)

If your issue has been reported already, click the vote button so that we know you've experienced that bug as well. You can also leave a comment if you'd like to add to the conversation about that bug or provide additional information you think might be useful. 

For New Reports


If your bug has NOT been reported, then please update the Issue Title field to represent the problem you encountered.

Example:  Shivan Dragon’s ability doesn’t work

Choose the Category that matches where the problem was.

Use the Describe Your Idea field to describe what happened.  Please use the following format:
  1. Summary of the problem
  2. A list of steps that led to the problem 
  3. The actual result
  4. What you expected or should have happened
Example:  

Shivan Dragon’s firebreathing doesn’t work.  Steps are:

  1. Attack with Shivan Dragon. 
  2. After it is blocked, try to pay 1 R mana to give it +1/+0
  3. Actual: It doesn’t get +1/+0 and stays a 5/5
  4. Expected: It becomes a 6/5
Finally, upload any screenshots or other information you might have that will help us investigate.  If you receive an error message that your attachment did not upload, please check to make sure it is smaller than 50 MB.

  1. Launching Application Error

    When I click on the shortcut, a "Launching Application" window (see attachment 1) opens for a few seconds then closes, and the nothing else happens. If I look at the Task manager, the "MainNavigation" process runs for a couple seconds, then disappears.

  2. Lag, Misclick, Game Becoming Unplayable

    Whenever I play the game for multiple rounds. My actions become slower and slower until the game is completely paused. It's like the game is trying to go to full screen mode (which there isn't one) and then it snaps back into place. I don't have a good screenshot, but it's very frustrating and I'm on a fairly new computer. In Round 3 of my most current league I was left with 5 minutes on the timer, because my game was pausing for minutes at a time between click actions.

    the game freezed, i log off and wasn't able to reconnect in time to re join the game

  4. unable to move opening hand/mulligans

    I have had multiple matches where I won the die roll for first but when I selected yes to play first the game client would not accept it and it would restart the game and ask me again if I would like to play first. on one occasion it made it to mulligans but then it wouldn't let you choose to mulligan or keep.

  5. requesting format data

    When ever I open up the game it starts going through the loading process and stops abruptly at "Requesting Format Data." This has so far happened to a number of new players including me and I believe it is so related to the opening of new accounts in the game.

  7. unable to update client

    hello, My client has been unable to update for the last 3 or 4 days. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I continue to recieve this error message during the load/update process.

  8. Connection cut-out mid draft

    The game shut down at the start of the premier draft, possibly costing me a token. I reconnected twice before the client had to validate the asset files to ensure stability.

  9. installer

    There was an update today and I can't install it. My PC never was able to run the .exe installer file, so I've always went for the .msi from this link:

    Problem is, the .msi from this link wasn't updated along with this new update (as you can see, the post was edited last time by the adm 20 days ago).

    I have no idea what to do.

  13. mtga still down for maintenance

    There was an update earlier, and when I tried to lig in, the game shwed me a message " system is down for maintenance ". I closed the program and reopened it a few times with no change.
    I've re-installed it a few times and it still shows the same message
    I tried to re-install using the MSI installer and still shows the same message "system is down for maintenance"

  17. MTGO going slower after playing

    I have a good computer, but only with mtgo it goes slower and slower after playing a couple of games. I need to close and open the software again, and I've lost a lot of league games because of this.

  19. Lag is unacceptable... No wonder barely anyone is playing despite Mythic Tokens

    I have fast internet, a $2,300 laptop which I use to play Cyberpunk2077 on fine and I play Arena with no severe latency issues... but on MTGO, there is noticeable lag at times, and it eats into my clock.

    I just logged on for the first time in months due to the Mythic Token, but when the MTGO servers are clearly either being attacked or poorly managed to where the play experience becomes excruciating, from a casual perspective. I have no idea how anyone would invest time and money into playing this competatively...
