If you need to file for reimbursement because your issue impacted a Magic Online event, please fill out our Request Reimbursement  form instead.

Before You Create a New Report


Before you create a new report, please enter the issue in the Issue Title field below to see if your issue has already been reported. It is a good idea to limit this to a few key words, like a card name or specific feature.

Example:  Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t bring up results, so use Shivan instead of Shiv)

If your issue has been reported already, click the vote button so that we know you've experienced that bug as well. You can also leave a comment if you'd like to add to the conversation about that bug or provide additional information you think might be useful. 

For New Reports


If your bug has NOT been reported, then please update the Issue Title field to represent the problem you encountered.

Example:  Shivan Dragon’s ability doesn’t work

Choose the Category that matches where the problem was.

Use the Describe Your Idea field to describe what happened.  Please use the following format:
  1. Summary of the problem
  2. A list of steps that led to the problem 
  3. The actual result
  4. What you expected or should have happened
Example:  

Shivan Dragon’s firebreathing doesn’t work.  Steps are:

  1. Attack with Shivan Dragon. 
  2. After it is blocked, try to pay 1 R mana to give it +1/+0
  3. Actual: It doesn’t get +1/+0 and stays a 5/5
  4. Expected: It becomes a 6/5
Finally, upload any screenshots or other information you might have that will help us investigate.  If you receive an error message that your attachment did not upload, please check to make sure it is smaller than 50 MB.

  2. Can't reinstall MTGO after client doesn't auto-update.

    tried logging into MTGO client(already installed on Windows 10) and says client is out of date. Need to restart to update client. I restart but client doesn't update. I uninstall and try to reinstall and it gives me an error:

  4. Disconnected from game 1

    Was about to concede game 1 in my third league match, to be greeted by a connectivity error, asking me to discard to 7 cards, and not being able to do so. Reconnected, had the whole match up until that point replay before me, and it again crashed. And I can't join the league q again. Can someone assist? It says my current match is pending, and I can't rejoin that match either. thanks

  5. MTGO Running very slowly

    every time the phase is passed to MTGO to process, it takes FOREVER. Everything is running slower than usual

  6. Your client is garbage

    I hope you guys fix your garbage client soon. I am so exhausted with it crashing mid-game I am thinking about taking up Pokemon. That's how bad your client is.

  7. Laggy client since Zendikar Rising

    Since the Zendikar Rising update the client has been lagging constantly, making it almost impossible to play. I am a hardcore MTGO fan and I am thinking about leaving the platform because of this.

    My configuration is way above the recommended requirements and I have to restart the client BETWEEN games in order to reset the lag.

  8. Game restarting

    I was playing a Modern League on mtgo, but i had the same problem in 3 different matches. At some point the game crashes and show a loop of that game played until that moment. Then it restarts a new game, changing the time left on the clock of both players. In this moment the game is no more playable because it goes straight to cleanup every turn

  9. Game automatically starts up when I reboot the computer

    1.   Give us the steps to reproduce the bug
      

      Start the computer

    2.   Note which platform you’re using (PC, Mac, Android, or iOS)
      

      PC

    3.   Enter the actual results you’re experiencing
      

      The game installed starts up and asks permission to install the game. You say yes, sure, then it will do something then takes you to the login page for the game.

    4.   Enter the expected results of the feature
      

      The feature I have in mind is when the computer reboots, an installer would NOT run, the game would not load, and I would not have to deal with this!

    5.   Add any relevant screenshots/videos

  10. MTGO Servers are Lagging compared to any online game, it appears there is a Server Optimization problem in 2021

    People online are claiming Arena and MTGO run on the same servers... which to me as a 2007 computer science minor from NYU, this suggests a mangement problem as they should not be on the same servers given MTGO should be running on whatever servers they had back in 2015 or so... MTGO is not Unity.. the two will have issues trying to be on the same servers.

    Arena runs fine... MTGO looses me seconds on a clock and I find myself being distracted by the lag issues that were not a problem back in 2012-2017...

    I have no idea…

  11. Won't load collection and then crashes the client

    Seems like the client crashes, then the message in the uploaded pic appears and doesnt let me do anything else. I have already uninsalled and reainstalled the client.

  13. requesting format data

    When ever I open up the game it starts going through the loading process and stops abruptly at "Requesting Format Data." This has so far happened to a number of new players including me and I believe it is so related to the opening of new accounts in the game.

  14. IOS iPad Unable to log in

    On iPad I was auto logged out and now on log in I keep getting told my Email or PW is incorrect despite being able to use it to log in to the Desktop client.

  15. Can't create account

    I cannot create my account. I fill in my date of birth and country and it says, "This account cannot be created. Please contact Wizards Customer Support for assistance." I am over 13 and eligible as far as I can see. This is very frustrating and I would appreciate help.

  16. Was playing a match against someone playing a Legacy Bomberman deck. Game 2. He moved to combo off, sacrificed a Ranger-Captain of Eos, an

    Was playing a match against someone playing a Legacy Bomberman deck. Game 2.

    He moved to combo off, sacrificed a Ranger-Captain of Eos, and then Sacrificed a Lioneye Diamond.

    The game immediately crashed, played through the entire game again at an incredibly rapid speed, and then crashed and restarted - after the game started, neither of us could play cards, and it immediately moved to end step for all turns.

    your app uses 100% of cpu and pulls 1000 mb of memory during play huge lags and not responding comes up alot. that has only happened sense last two updates.

  18. Magic: The Gathering Arena Mobile Game Will Not Download To My Android Devices

    I have been trying to install the new mobile Arena and have been very unsuccessful. The Article at https://magic.wizards.com/en/mtgarena says that the app is android friendly, but it will not install on either of my android devices; see attached screenshots.

    Super excited to be possibly playing on my mobile's soon.

  19. Computer freezes at "Loading Initial Scene"

    For the past two weeks, MTG Arena will not open. It sits at "Loading Initial Scene" and will not go further than that.

    This has occurred ever since the Strixhaven update was launched. Do I have to wait until the next set before this program works?

    Or am I permanently locked out of Arena? If I'm permanently locked out, I'd like a refund for the gems I have bought, and for my collection of wildcards.
