If you need to file for reimbursement because your issue impacted a Magic Online event, please fill out our Request Reimbursement  form instead.

Before You Create a New Report


Before you create a new report, please enter the issue in the Issue Title field below to see if your issue has already been reported. It is a good idea to limit this to a few key words, like a card name or specific feature.

Example:  Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t bring up results, so use Shivan instead of Shiv)

If your issue has been reported already, click the vote button so that we know you've experienced that bug as well. You can also leave a comment if you'd like to add to the conversation about that bug or provide additional information you think might be useful. 

For New Reports


If your bug has NOT been reported, then please update the Issue Title field to represent the problem you encountered.

Example:  Shivan Dragon’s ability doesn’t work

Choose the Category that matches where the problem was.

Use the Describe Your Idea field to describe what happened.  Please use the following format:
  1. Summary of the problem
  2. A list of steps that led to the problem 
  3. The actual result
  4. What you expected or should have happened
Example:  

Shivan Dragon’s firebreathing doesn’t work.  Steps are:

  1. Attack with Shivan Dragon. 
  2. After it is blocked, try to pay 1 R mana to give it +1/+0
  3. Actual: It doesn’t get +1/+0 and stays a 5/5
  4. Expected: It becomes a 6/5
Finally, upload any screenshots or other information you might have that will help us investigate.  If you receive an error message that your attachment did not upload, please check to make sure it is smaller than 50 MB.

  2. Vanguard hand-modifiers don't work right

    Vanguards which are supposed to modify your max hand size according to the official rules (311.6) only modify your starting hand size. You're forced to discard down to 7 at the end of turn 1 even if you have a copy or two of a vanguard like "Squee, Goblin Nabob" in play. And if you have vanguards that decrease your starting hand size below 7, you're still not forced to discard at end of turn when you have 7 cards in hand.

    There are exactly 41 vanguards in MTGO which modify hand size.

    played one instant "Ravaging blaze turn 8" tried to cast "twincast" to copy it and it never let me even have the chance to cast it.

  4. Adventure resolved and went to graveyard when spell was spliced onto it

    I experienced this issue while attempting to splice Splicer's Skill onto a Boulder Rush (Rimrock Knight's adventure). When the spell resolved, the 3/3 Golem was created, but the Rimrock Knight was not put into exile ("on an Adventure") -- instead the card wound up in my graveyard. This happened in match #230064681, games 1 and 2.

  6. Doomsday leaks information

    While selecting cards with Doomsday, the opponent can see any cards you're choosing from the graveyard, as they have the green selection outline around them. This leaks information, as Doomsday does not reveal the cards selected, and unless you know your opponent's exact decklist, it cannot be determined from the exiled cards whether or not a given card was chosen.

    Steps to reproduce:

    Player B puts some cards in graveyard
    Player B casts Doomsday
    Player B selects some cards from their graveyard
    Player A observes that they can see a green outline appear around cards as they are chosen

  7. skullclamp + wandering fumarole bug

    My opponent equiped skullclamp on his wandering fumarole, then we he switched the power and toughness of wandering fumarole it became a 3/2 instead of dying.

  8. Blade of Selves Myriad exiled saproling tokens along with Mycoloth token

    I had Blade of selves equipped to Mycoloth, and on the battle field were roughly 70 saproling tokens that had all been generated by the equipped Mycoloth. Once combat was over the Myriad exile effect took place. Rather than exiling just the Mycoloth token, it also took with it all 60 attacking tokens and the 10 defenders I left up resulting in a loss that should have easily been a win on my next turn.

    Match #231578755 Game #729720174 time, maybe around 30mins?

  10. Jegantha Doesn't Check Companion Requirements Properly

    Jegantha in the sideboard of a deck (modern tron) that meets the companion requirement (No card in the starting deck has more than one of the same mana symbol). Magic Online says the deck doesn't meet the requirement until I remove the 1 main deck Walking Ballista, at which point, Jegantha is highlighted blue to indicate that it is a valid companion.

  11. Commander zone change bugged with Commit/Memory

    Hello

    Situation:
    Commander game, I have my commander (Polukranos, Unchained) in my graveyard. I checked the zone-change settings, I have "Command zone, instead of library" selected.

    My opponent casts the Aftermath-half of Commit/Memory which says:
    "Each player shuffles their hand and graveyard into their library, then draws seven cards."

    What should happen:
    Polukranos goes to command zone. I draw 7 cards.

    What happened:
    Polukranos went to my library, I drew 7 cards, one of which was Polukranos .

  12. Alpine Houndmaster search issues

    Check out the attached, this happens to me too often. I have other screen shots as well. Ran it through a hypergeometric calculator. Feel free to do the same. 0.000028712 are the odds. About the same as winning a high stakes lotto. Please fix.

  14. Umbral mantle trigger ability

    Umbral mantle trigger ability can interrupted equipied mana creature.

    1)Equip Umbaral mantle on mana creature.
    2)Tap to mana creature and lost mana.
    3)Umbral mantle trigger ability use to mana creature(need untap & pay3 mana).
    4)ONLY untap mana cureature and NO pay mana cost.
    5)Interrupt Tap to mana creature, it add to mana cost.
    6)Add mana can pay to Umbral mantle trrigger cost.

    i think 5) is a problem.

    2. Trying to pick a type so it doesn't die upon entering

  16. Elvish Champion

    Avatar - Elvish Champion in Vanguard results in every game being a draw before opening hands are even seen. In Solitaire it causes a win, but regardless it makes it impossible to play with it as a Vanguard.

  19. Arcum Astrolabe still legal

    Opponent was playing with the card arcum's astrolabe which was banned and had the ban go in to effect earlier that day. I have attached a screenshot below.

  20. Hypnotic Sprite goes on asventure after adventure part is coubtered

    @MagicOnline I'm reporting a bug.

    When you send Hypnotic Sprite on an adventure to counter a spell, and the opponent uses Veil of Summer to give the spell hexproof, the Sprite still goes on an adventure.

    Since the spell is countered because of no legal targets, it shouldn't.
