As a Legendary instant, the spell requires you to control a Saga, Legendary Creature, or Planeswalker in order to cast it.

I don't see any of those in your screenshot.

The reason you got 1 counter instead of 2 is that oppo had Vorinclex in play.

Are you sure it's supposed to work? "Perpetual" effects don't show up in the MTG comprehensive rules (since they're Alchemy only) but it seems like the following rule applies.

400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence.

The death trigger says to double the P/T of the Mephidross ***** in the Graveyard. But the Fake Your Own Death effect causes it to change zones to the battlefield, making it a new object. When the death trigger resolves, it tries to double the P/T of an object that doesn't exist anymore, so that part doesn't happen.

One think to watch out for: There's a difference between exile spells and exile effects.

To compare two of the exile cards commonly used in standard at the moment: Lay Down Arms is a sorcery. The spell targets a creature as it is cast. The spell Ossification is an enchantment. The target of the spell is a land. The enchantment creates an exile effect targeting your creature.

Rotpriest triggers off of spells targeting your creatures. So if opponent Ossifies your Rotpriest, that won't trigger the Rotpriest -- it wasn't targeted by a spell; only an effect

I think what's happening here is an annoying quirk (or "feature", depending on your point of view) of the wording.

Your Shivan Devastator enters the battlefield with 6 +1/+1 counters. But it doesn't get those counters until it enters the battlefield. On the stack, it's still a 0/0. And Rothga's ability triggers when you *cast* the spell. So what happens is Rothga's ability goes on the stack, and doubles the Devastator's power from 0 to 0. Only later, when it enters the battlefield, does the Devastator get its power. And that's too late to benefit from Rothga.

To add more details and some logs to this:

This has happened to me twice now. Once on the constructed ladder, and once during a Strixhaven draft. In both cases, the game would tell me I found an opponent, then the game would close. When I reopened Arena, it would locate the match in progress, then immediately close again. After I lost the match (presumably due to my time-out) I could access Arena normally again.

Attached logs are from the draft where this happened. Some of them (the short ones) are just me trying to get back into Arena and it closing on me a few seconds later. The end of the largest log is where the bug occurred, and the second largest one corresponds to me successfully getting back into Arena after the match was lost.

(In other words; this isn't a bug; things are working as they're supposed to).

It's not the Draw step that doesn't use the stack. It's the Draw Action itself. In more detail:

    1. Everything untaps (excepting "doesn't untap" things).
    2. Move to Upkeep. Any "at the beginning of upkeep" triggers go on the stack.
    3. Players respond to the Upkeep triggers (if any). Once the responses are done, the triggers resolve.
    4. (Still in upkeep) Players get priority to respond. Continue once both pass priority w/the stack empty.
    5. Move to Draw Step.
    6. Active player draws a card.
    7. Players get priority to respond. Continue once both pass priority w/stack empty.
    8. Move to first main phase.

The rule you quoted means that players don't get priority between steps 5 and 6 in the above. But they still get priority in step 7, after you draw and before you move to the main phase.

Assuming your opponent assigned blockers correctly (the Broodmother first), this corresponds to what should have happened. In full detail:

Your opponent assigns 5 damage to the Broodmother, and 3 to the Drider.

The game checks to see if creatures are dead. The 3/5 Broodmother (with 5 damage on it) dies, the 5/5 Drider (with only 3 damage on it) is okay for now.

The Broodmother goes to the yard. The Drider is now a 4/3.

The game checks again if anything is dead. The Drider (which is now a 4/3 with 3 damage on it) dies.

Your opponent's commander was Myrel. Was Myrel on the battlefield? If so, it's ability would keep you from both activating Kenrith and casting Spell Swindle.

With regards to your second issue:

Shore Keeper's activated ability requires 8 mana to activate. The emblem only gives you 5 mana. So after spending the 1 mana to sac Reunion you ended up 4 mana short. That's what the game was asking you for.

It's hard to say without a full log (the log you uploaded doesn't include the match in question). But one way this could be happening in a soldiers mirror is if opponent has Myrel in play. Myrel prevents your opponent from activating during your turn. So if opponent has Myrel out and you go to draw cards at the end of their turn, you won't be able to.

It looks like your opponent had Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider in play.

One of the abilities of Vorinclex is that any counters put on by its controller are doubled. So Garruk (which would normally have 5 counters put on it as it enters the battlefield) gets 10 counters instead. A +2 ability (which would normally involve putting 2 counters on Garruk as part of the cost) gets 4 counters put on instead.

There are a couple cards (Thassa's Oracle and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries) that include text saying "If you would draw a card and your library has no cards, you win the game).

Hobgoblin Captain is alchemy legal -- it was reprinted in the Baldur's Gate Alchemy set.

Those cards both appear in the spellbook of Goblin Influx Array, which is probably where your opponent got them from.
