This game us just a scam to get you to buy two copies. And obviousily they do not care, have yet to release info on this issue, yet to fix this issue. This is not the first half made product from them. Honestly think they need a class action lawsuit for releasing faulty products with false advertisement. I say we mass email sony to pull it from store till fixed like they did with cyberpunk.

Bought the Deluxe Edition for PS4 to play with my 2 friends, one on PS4 like myself, the other one on PS5.
The PS5 friend bought straight the PS5 version - excuse me that's just logical to do so. We cannot play together now and that's for such a game just really sad. If you read about the game it says it supports cross-gen but that's simply not true at the moment. I would appreciate if it is made possible cause 3 people put some money down to play together but cannot due to a "bug". Thanks developers for planning your next sprint accordingly. I guess 2 Storypoints should do the trick :)

My friends bought the digital version for my PS4 hoping we can play this together and we can't. Also the Downgrade method doesn't work because they own the Physical Version for PS5! Please give us a solution we're really upset about this...

Please fix this now or inform Sony that we can request refund for the purchase. Just do it quick!

Actually you can downgrade to the PS4 version on the ps5 and play with your PS4 friends. That's the only way I've been playing with my bud. I bought the ps5 version, but as you can see from the attached file I downloaded the PS4 version after learning I couldn't crossgen play. Just press options over ps5 version of game, scroll to version, choose PS4 version and download.

also. I purchased the straight up PS5 version, so i cannot even "downgrade" to the PS4 version to play with my friends without having to actually purchase the game for a 2nd time. :-(
