If the rope timer ends and the match doesn't continue it means that you have lost your connection to the game server. This is a 100% guaranteed tell.
"I'd have figured it for a disconnect but got no error message."
Arena actually rarely tells you if you've lost your connection to the server. It's even rarer for it to reconnect you on its own. -
