@MysticSquid - the mere fact that wotc made a set based on poison counters should tell you that they don't care. Play whatever deck you wanna play and if you see a deck you don't want to face just go to the next match.
@TappedOutZach - so many problems with what you said.
"So many of their cards don't interact with creatures..." - Anoint with Affliction, Bring the Ending, Drown in Ichor, & Vraska's Fall are all cards that deal with creatures and are VERY commonly seen in UB poison decks. Plus there are other cards they could be using that deal with creatures too. More likely than not, you won't have creatures.
"And if your deck can't win by turn 7, you should be playing counterspells." - shouldn't have to play a certain way if you're not going for a speedy win. And with counterspells being blue, obviously not every deck will use that color.
"Or play Melira." - shouldn't have to use 1 card to try to soft-counter one deck-style that isn't used as often, which could easily counter or remove it anyway making it basically useless. -
