   That's because all your opponent's creatures have a total power & toughness of 6. Cut Down can only target creatures with a total power & toughness of 5 or less. You can only target your Intrepid Paleontologist with it because that is the only valid target. No bug here.

   Wrong. The Cavernous Maws were counting the Pit and the other Maw. What they weren't counting was themselves. No bug here.
   "{2}: Cavernous Maw becomes a 3/3 Elemental creature until end of turn. It’s still a Cave land. Activate only if the number of OTHER Caves you control plus the number of Cave cards in your graveyard is three or greater."

    Translate's not working too well, but I'm guessing you're wondering why you can't use Boseiju's channeling ability? Your opponent attached the aura curse Overwhelming Splendor to you. It stops you from using abilities that aren't mana abilities or loyalty abilites.
