    "{1}, {T}: Draw a card, then exile a card from your hand. If cards with five or more DIFFERENT MANA VALUES are exiled with Azor’s Gateway, you gain 5 life, untap Azor’s Gateway, and transform it."
    Were there 5 or more different mana values among cards exiled with it? Because I see multiple lands.

    It is searchable, you just have to disclude Battle. Your search should look something like this:
    t:bat -t:battle

    It looks like the reason you can't use it is because you have the card from the original Ixalan set, not the reprint from Lost Caverns of Ixalan.

    If a spell or ability says to put a land on the battlefield, you're not playing a land. If a spell or ability says you may play an additional land, then that is playing a land.
