I had finished a game when this first began, though, and it was when I tried to hit a claim prize button that the oddness happened (note this was post-update). The sound of clicking the button continued and I could see the whole screen. Once I killed the game and reloaded I ended up with the noted behavior.2. Note which platform you’re using (PC, Mac)
PC3. Enter the actual results you’re experiencing
A black screen with an otherwise well behaving client, if I hit escape the sound of opening the menu is still audible, and every so often I believe (though am not sure) I heard the audio feedback for hovering over a button. The screen is black4. Enter the expected results of the feature
graphical output post-launcher handoff to mtga5. Add any relevant screenshots/videos
truncated logs ^6. If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

Video loads all the way through the launcher loading the client and any updates. I did a fresh install on one system to test and noted no issues with any visual or audio cues relating to the installation (again, launcher seems to work fine).
Audio loads, even makes the bell tone that usually occurs as the home page loads.
Putting your log and my own together, plus the original understanding of the issue being related to color reward, I think it's fair to say any rewards that are triggered by a weekly quest are probably causal.
