Communication is key and WotC is not communicating with it's customers on this issue. Zero response is unacceptable yet that is what MTGA players are getting when it comes to this issue.

"Waiting on server" error RUINS games. Is anyone WotC acknowledging, let alone trying to fix this glitch? It's clearly happening to lots of players. Let's assume no one has explained the issue and no one has looked at a log file attached to a bug report regarding this problem. The only steps you can take to try and recreate the error is to play a game and see if it happens. "It" is when you are phased out of gameplay during your match with another player. You are given the spinning waiting icon with the message "Waiting on Server" .You van hear the audio of the match continuing but you are not able to see or interact with the other player, the match or your deck while this is happening. It never resolves on its own and it would stay like that until you lose the match due to inactivity. I can exit the game, restart MTGA and it will put me back into the match but usually the match is all messed up because the other player or the match moderator program have proceeded with gameplay while I have been inactive. Upon return to gameplay the match is lost or nearly lost. I really hope this gets fixed. I'm on the PC platform. Steam is installed but I don't use it to play MTGA.
