    FIX FOUND! For Mac.. Well, for me at least.. I turned off my wifi, started the game (not with EpicGames) and when it says it can't connect I hit the "Retry" button like 10 times, left the game open, turned on my wifi, connected to my network, went back to the game screen, hit retry, and BAM, game works fine now. Hope it helps you too. Good Luck.
