    This is also an issue for me playing on PC. I've tried from two different computers and in both cases (with multiple tries) one waits forever on the message "waiting for opponent".

    My main reason for playing MTG Arena is to play online with friends in my home country of Ireland. It is quite distressing not to be able to do this after several years of enjoyable play. Can this not be fixed as a matter of urgency? Even trying direct challenge I am not able to play with a friend. No matter what we try when I have issued the challenge and chosen a deck I get the error message (after a long pause) "Unable to submit deck. Please try again later." Using direct challenge gets the same result. I even tried opening a new account with a different e-mail address and I have the same problem there. I've tried using different computers, all to no avail. I guess it is time to find a new game to play.
