The whole plan was to destroy the 3rd party tools when they went to memory logging. The 3rd party tools were getting meta data out too quick for WotC. Collection/reward info was just collateral damage. Instead of making better sets/advanced pre-release testing, this was their fix.
Ironically, the tools have been able to track win/loss of decks, so the meta info is still out there... it just destroyed our collection tools =(
