Hi, I have the same problem and veririfed it today.
Although I have suspected before that cards in open booster packs tagged with "first or new" (German: erste) and highlighted borders don't end in my inventory.

Today I opened a couple of "Sectrets of Strixhaven" mythic packs. I did open some regular packs before that I won with quests.
Now, I have seen that I got "Silverquill, the Disputant" tagged with "first/new". I opened another pack and got it again, also tagged the same way. Now this is already odd and the thing I have seen before. A card I got again in another pack was marked as "first/new". But now I went to my inventory - after noting other cards (see below) - checked and only found one card of Silverquill.
I checked the other noted cards and found other wrong states:
    - Terramorphic Expanse = was tagged as "first/new" but I have 4 already
    - Last Gasp = was tagged as "first/new" but I have 4 already
    - Daydream = was tagged as "first/new" but I dont have it at all !
    - Hydro-Channeler = was tagged as "first/new" but I have 3 already
    - Quick Study = was tagged as "first/new" but I have 4 already
    - Emeritus of Abundance = was tagged as "first/new" but I have 2 already
    - Bogwater Lumaret = was tagged as "first/new" but I have 3 already

So that means the "first/new" tag is mostly wrong, as I can have it already in any possible number or not at all. Also it is not certain, that the cards from the booster go into my inventory at all. And this may be the same for cards that are not tagged with "first/new".

Either that is a bug or deception.
I am quite concerned here and expect an answer.
