    I play a sultai ramp/combo deck (in historic) and defeated lots of ugins (even multiple in several games) after they hit the board. You just have to know how. Spell based decks for example aren't as vulnerable. Run some interaction for opposing pw, discard or counters and it's done. Also possible in standard...
