This exact thing happened to me. When I cast Bone splinters, my opponent was able to time out and when they ran out of time, I wasn't allowed to sacrifice a creature and trigger the card. The card went back to my hand, with my mana spent on it. I was not able to re-cast it. I lost a match because of it. VERY FRUSTRATING! Happened on my last draft match around 12:41 EST.
