    There was no other nonland permanent on the battlefield so it could not be that and they only had simic lands+basics.

    @rezzahan. I can assure you it is from the ward because after we clicked yes it triggered the ward and popped up the do you want to pay the 2 (because as soon as it did weird stuff I turned on full control), then I said no because I did not have 2 mana and then the leviathan resolved.
