    The TH is an artifact, not a creature, so not recognized as a Sliver. It just produces Slivers. Same for creature specific mana.

    Did they have first strike by chance? That will negate your deathtouch if bigger toughness hits it first because it kills your deathtouch before it has a chance to strike

    Losing toughness does not kill indestructible creature. controller still has the opportunity to cast a +/+ to bring it back up or use any toughness remaining
