    Never mind about the refund, I just played the league with a standard pauper deck :(

    I'd tried entering again to see if the problem had been fixed. I don't want to play Standard Pauper again (with just Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate added in, bizarrely). Please either fix the event so it allows all historic commons or else refund my 2000 gold entry fee.

    For yet another piece of evidence, the Decathlon 2 instructions in MTGA say "the commons on MTG Arena", not "commons that are legal in Standard"

    @Mikail thank you for the information.
    Another factor is that the announcement page itself says Historic Pauper in its second description of the event (near the bottom of the page). Any support person looking at this ticket can see that for themselves if they just click on the link I included in the OP of this ticket.

    I tried playing with a standard-only pauper deck, but the weird thing is that I saw people playing alchemy cards which aren't legal in standard. After that run of Decathlon 2 finished, I tried restarting MTGA, but it still won't let me start a new run of Decathlon 2 with a historic pauper deck

    I was in a Play game when WAR Season 1 ended. When the game was over, I saw the 'Season ended' animation, and it displayed what my rewards would be (1000g, 2 packs, and Wizard's Lightning style).
    However, when I got the rewards/etc. popups to go away, I couldn't find any packs in the Packs tab. I'm not sure if I got the 1000 gold, but I did get the Wizard's Lightning card style.
