    Hello,
    I've had a similar problem with LED.
    They have mentionned that the artifact does not have "smart priority" in the mtga announcement.
    I have no clue why they would ever do this, as in my case, I couldn't pay for a miscalculation despite having LED...
    They really should fix this as this is game-breakingly bad

    Here is the quote :

    Cards That Do Not Have Smart Priority
    Lion's Eye Diamond
    Any time you want to do anything fancy with Lion's Eye Diamond, such as activating it in response to Timetwister or Yawgmoth's Will, you will need to go into full control.
    "
