book of exalted deeds/ inquiring overseer
Hey there.. the one HP you gain from playing inquiring overseer doesnt add to the HP count for the book of exalted deeds... playing IO with Righteous Valkyrie and book in play should give me a 3/3 angel, no?

I noticed the same interaction and was a bit confused at first too. When you play Inquiring Overseer, you technically gain 1 life, but the Book of Exalted Deeds only triggers if you have gained 3 or more life in a single turn. So just getting 1 HP from IO doesn’t meet that threshold by itself, even if Righteous Valkyrie is on the battlefield. You’d need at least three separate 1-life triggers or one big one.
