- Ensured permission has been granted for your Camera and Microphone through your preferred browser: Use your camera & microphone
- Ensured that no other programs are using your Camera or Microphone (you can find information on how to perform this check by searching online)
- Temporarily disabling any Anti-Virus programs that might disable camera and microphone access (even if you’re already granted it)

Camera blurry after update to iOS 18.4.1
I’ve used my phone as a camera for years on Spelltable. However, after the recent update to iOS 18.4.1 on both of my phones (iPhone 11 and 13) the camera resolution in-game is unplayable. The cards do not register when clicked and are completely unreadable. The video feed as displayed on the phone is fine. I have tried different cameras on the phone i.e. the double wide or ultras wide, but the issue persists.

phone camera not working
The phone camera is not working as of 08/21/25. I've had no issues for the last 6 months. Now I can't get video to load no matter what browser I use or what aspect ratio I put the camera settings to. I've tried turning on and off the Configure Inputs option for "Use phone as Webcam" and every other thing I can think of. Every time I try to load in video the QR code remains on screen and the phone screen goes blank after several moments of the "contacting server" message.

Can't switch webcam
This just literally started happening and I've never had this issue before, but with my two webcam setup (which has worked fine to this point for years, btw), Spelltable will only recognize the webcam that is facing me and not the one pointed toward the actual play area. Switching the cameras in the inputs makes no difference, as even attempting to swap to OBS will make no change to the input display. Spelltable camera feed bug: feed shows black bars on each side, obstructing left and right edge of the video
Camera: HD Pro Webcam C920, front-facing laptop camera, any other device I tried it on
Issue: A few days ago (at the time of writing) black bars suddenly appeared on the side of the video feed, obstructing the left and right side of the video. This has been the case for every browser that I have tried it on (Firefox, Chrome, Edge) and for every device I connected.

Camera no permission
I either get a thing that says spelltable doesn't have permission to use the camera, or I get one that says there was trouble changing the camera. I've tried everything. All permissions are allowed on computer and browser. I've tried 3 different cameras and 2 mobile phones.

Cameras and sound not showing in any browsers
Hi, a couple nights ago I played spelltable just fine.
Last night I went to do the same thing I usually do and am greeted with the error “There was a problem changing your camera, try closing your app”. However, this error is not only on my camera but everyone else’s cameras as well. They are able to see each other but I can’t see or hear anyone. Cant switch between inputs.. (makes no difference)
Hi goodmorning / afternoon I've noticed on my end that theres a bug selecting inputs at the moment. currently for me my input is stuck to my camera and i cannot switch between any input even when i click them. the only way i can switch to OBS is when i physically remove my camera.. I hope this gets fixed..

fails to use a secondary webcam since last update.
since the last update, I'm unable to pick another webcam as source.
The webcam shows perfectly in the list but the source is always from the first webcam in the list. Tried other websites that uses webcams (google meets, webcamtests.com) and all work fine and are able to use the other webcams as expected.
this has worked very well until the latest update.

camera not working on one computer
Connecting via mobile phone, OBS Virtual Cam, and Droid Cam works on one computer, but not another. I've tried Chrome and Edge, restarting the computer, updating security and privacy setting for camera and browser. I've changed between camera types on the browser and within SpellTable. I've updated my computer, several thousand restarts, different accounts and different phones. One setup works perfectly fine on one computer, but won't work on another.

Desktop still shows QR code after I scan it and my phone connects
I create a game and set the camera setting for my mobile phone, so the QR code shows up for me to scan. Once I scan it, the phone takes me to the camera setting before connecting to the game. The camera connects on my phone and I am able to see the camera working. However, on the desktop it continues to show the QR code with the message "Waiting for Camera Connection". I have tried all the different camera settings and so many different browsers but it still doesn't change anything, the QR code just doesn't move,, as if…

OBS will not connect
OBS worked fine from April until July. Started to connect today (9/17/25), and I get the message from the screen-print below. I uninstalled OBS and reinstalled, then reinstalled an older version and received the same message.

Can't change camera in spelltable
I am unable to change my camera. It is stuck with Logitech and I can not change it to OBS or Camo Studio. I use Brave on Windows 10. It is the same in Chrome.

Phone camera not working for games of commander
I've been trying to use my phone camera (it has 4 options for camera) everytime I try what ends up happening is 3 of them say "we had trouble using your device and the fourth is just a blank screen on my phone with my computer not seeming to find it at all.

No mobile camera is working.
Ive used spelltable for 3 years, so im used to random bugs. However, whenever i try to use my iphone 15 pro as a camera it either send me to a gray screen with no text and my qr code is still on my computer. Or it just flat out doesnt work. I cant even join games properly anymore.

I can get three different sources shown correctly right before I join in but as soon as I do, everyone else's screen is black and has this same message- it doesn't make any sense because I can't change other peoples cameras. Also, I can see other people's camera's for about a half second before it just blacks out and gives the error message for everyone.

Good morning,
I have a bug with using the camera on a mobile phone. When I select the phone webcam option, after scanning the QR code, it takes me as usual to the 'join the game' button. Unfortunately, if I click on it, I get the following error: 'There was a problem switching the camera, try closing the camera app'. This error occurs even if I don't have any camera app open besides the spelltable website, and it happens with both mobile phones I own (an Honor and a mid-range Samsung).27 votes -
BUG: Camera and Microphone inputs not present, unable to appear or change on Firefox
When trying to use spelltable on Firefox I'm being shown multiple seemingly related error messages resulting in my camera sources both not appearing in the browser as well as the fields that should be shown to change my selected input not appearing. Screenshot are attached showing both error messages received and the inputs menu that should have the input selection options that aren't present. Other browsers (ie chrome) appear to work as expected.
I'm running a desktop PC on windows 10. Firefox is the browser at issue. I've additionally confirmed permission settings are approved for spelltable both at the browser…3 votes -
"Trouble Using Your Device"
The past couple weeks my camera has been stuck in 4:3 ratio, but still connected to spelltable. As of last night when I create a room spelltable wont even see my camera and says "having trouble using your device". Ive reset permissions and cache, made sure nothing else is using it, even tried a different camera, still the same result. Also, for what its worth, before it says that its having trouble using my device the "connecting to servers" message comes up which ive never seen before.

SpellTable Doesn't Have Permission
- Open link to game in Chrome
- In the field where the camera output would be it says "We Don't Permission To Use Your Camera"
- Went ahead anyway, everyones camera field says the same
- Checked if that was the case, it wasn't
- Actual: Went to clear all settings on all browsers, retry, didnt work
- Expected: Allowing the camera permission form the site and show the camera feed when trying to join

Selecting aspect ratio with mobile camera uses incorrect orientation
I'm using a 3rd generation iPhone SE.
When I use my phone as my camera, the website asks me to rotate my device to landscape. I rotate my device to landscape, then choose 16:9 as my desired aspect ratio. When my camera connects, my camera is using 9:16 (portrait) instead of 16:9 (landscape). Then, when I rotate my phone to portrait mode, my camera on Spelltable becomes landscape mode and zooms very far in.
What should happen is when my phone is in landscape mode, my camera output should be in landscape mode. Additionally, Spelltable zooms in the camera output…
