What you probably saw was the mirror image character to the swastika, 卍 which is common to multiple asian scripts. In japan its used on maps as the symbol for a buddhist temple.

Set a stop in your upkeep and it will let you respond to the Pact trigger. This should become muscle memory to anyone playing Charbelcher.

Set a stop in your upkeep phase and you will be able to respond to the trigger.
Also Pact of Negation only targets spells on the stack, was your opponent channeling Boseiju (not a spell) on your Charbelcher ? (That's the standard include in green historic bo1 to counter Charbelcher being protected with Pact)

Its not a bug. The deck has no proper lands in it, only double-faced cards where the back side is a land, so it will always reveal all cards in the deck, usually around 50.
A number of people have mentioned on reddit that they use this extended amount of time for bathroom breaks between matches to avoid queueing afterwards.
Halving the mulligan timer wouldn't be an unreasonable thing to do.
