While reading through the display issues page it's suggested that my system doesn't meet minimum requirements. This was the common explanation when I was experiencing crashes. However, I don't experience crashes any more, so the problem was obviously no with my system. I'm sure if some work was done to resolve this issue, it would turn out that my system, just like before, was just fine.
