    @spatksfamilyvalues#95319, that may be why the Arena people programed it this way. But, it does not make sense. If you have to select the creature, the spell is “targeting” the creature.

    Compare to “closing statement, which destroys a creature or planeswalker, and then you can add a +1+1 counter to a creature. The +1+1 counter action on closing statement does trigger virtuoso, and Mavinda.
