This happened to me as well, and I suspect it could be due to the game's networking code not playing nice with my AMD processor. The AMD processor's instruction set is a bit different than most processors on the market, so I often see networking issues for certain games (no latency, just hangups like this bug when trying to establish connections for some multiplayer games).

Restarting the game and rejoining seems to work, but am I going to have to do this everytime I want to play a draft game? Is there seriously no retry logic to account for this?

Very disappointing to grind a couple of hours to build up the gold to play a draft, just to have the game sit on this waiting screen and give me a garbage deck that I can't play with after I rejoin. Not a good feeling to have my time utterly wasted like this. I conceded after playing against my first opponent because there was no salvaging it, and I was not interested in an exercise in futility.

My friend group is starting to get into this game, and as an older MTG player, I was excited to enter during The Brothers War set, which I read some of the books for way back in the day.

I really want to like this game and enjoy it, but I don't think that I'll have a fun experience until I get a new computer. Problem is, I won't need a new computer for some years to come. My AMD processor does fine for everything else, so this game will sadly not be in the rotation of games I play for quite some time.

Please work on better networking retry logic. Closing the game and reopening seems to reconnect me quickly, but I'm not doing that everytime I want to play, so I'm just not going to play. Surely this reconnection logic can be accomplished without quitting the game entirely.
