   I have the exact same issue. I can issue a challenge and accept one, but either myself or my friend gets booted out and it results in a draw. This has been happening since yesterday and we tried reinstalling the game on our computers (I use Mac, he uses Windows), restarting our internet router... Nothing seems to help.
