I’m not a judge, but when I think through the interaction I can see why you think it should work, but I believe the problem is that when Sothera changes zones, moving it breaks the relationship between Sothera and the cards exiled with it. So at the beginning of your end step it checks to see if a player has no creatures. If all players do it doesn’t trigger. If it does trigger it checks again before resolving. So I think that even with the ability on the stack, doing anything other than sacrificing Sothera won’t return a card because at that point those cards are just plain exiled, not exiled _with Sothera_ when the ability tries to resolve.

I’ll start off by saying I’m not a judge or anyone affiliated with WoTC, that said…
“Artifact” and “Creature” are card types. The changeling ability gives Firdoch Core all “creature types” but not the “creature” card type. You literally play it with annex because it’s a demon (a creature type) but NOT a creature, unless you pay to animate the Firdoch Core until end of turn. That makes it way harder for many decks to deal with. Now if someone tried to destroy doom and you animated the core in response and he still died, and it was a destroy spell and not a dark deed or something he could never survive anyway, then that would be a bug, but as you described it that second problem is not a bug. As for the first issue, there are at least three cards in standard that say players can’t gain life. Without knowing the full board state that’s at least a possibility.

I’m not a judge, but unfortunately I think this is a situation where the rules as written are just unintuitive. Quoting in part from google’s AI summary on the mana value of double-faced cards:
2. Modal Double-Faced Cards (MDFCs)These cards feature a small triangular icon in the top left corner of both faces, allowing you to cast or play either side from your hand. Each face has its own mana cost: When casting or playing a modal card, it functions like a standard card for that specific side.
On the battlefield or stack: The permanent or spell has only the mana value of the face that is being used.—> In your hand or library: The card possesses the mana value of its front face.
That last part was what got you. I think that situation lets you choose the card Gwen Stacy because when exiled from the library its mana value is always 2, but then when your opponent got to cast it for free it doesn’t check the value again and the option is given to cast either side for free.

Same issue here, marvel jump-in is now unplayable because of this exact issue. I can’t submit my own bug report either because of how bad your system is. My platform is iOS, my packs were agents of shield and counter argument. After picking the second pack it spit me back to the menu and now says choose packets but agents of shield is greyed out, counterargument is missing, and there are no packs to choose from and no way to fix it. Already tried your auto-repair and it did nothing. Congrats on making a jump-in that was already a pretty low-value proposition for those who don’t play brawl into something that’s just straight up broken now.

Yeah they changed things but now you get an extra rare for a win and an extra uncommon for 2 wins, event ends after 2 wins or 3 losses. I’m kinda ambivalent on the change since the marvel jump-in packs have so many cards that aren’t standard legal. (What do you MEAN I can’t turn people into dinosaurs?)
