Your information displays dependent on your medium of play now: if it’s an online event, ONLY your display names appears. If it’s an in-person event, ONLY your first and last name will appear. I would also be in favour of an anonymiser. Players may want to be streaming live and they do not want the opponent to look up their stream to cheat. I dont know the percentage of magic players that are also female but I’m guessing the numbers are stupidly low. Sweaty boys playing with paper cards isnt exactly the most inclusive activity.

#WotC should welcome more women and make the game AS ACCESSIBLE as possible. Including preventing harassment and stalking. In 2015, forbes reports there is less than 40% of the player base that are women (quoting Mark Rosewater’s tumblr).

Wizards can do better to level the gender gap and protect a once extremely niche population.
