Companion doesn't Allow me to join events. It asks for my name and then gives me the error message in the title. This happened at an in store prerelease on Saturday and is still happening today. I'm on an android phone ( ver 9). I've restarted the app, updated the app, and restarted the phone, but nothing changes.

Hello, I just experienced this error. The app required an update in the app store but I did not notice for awhile. Could a solution be that we need a message in the app if there is an update required?

Currently happening to me. Tried on different devices even. It happens whether I'm logged into the app or not. Android 12 and Android 10.

Update! We have investigated this issue and believe it will be fixed as of our release approximately next Tuesday, dependent on when app stores update their builds in your region. Make sure to update to the latest Companion version at that time and you should see this issue disappear.
