Companion should not push notifs when marketing is turned off in settings
When you have marketing notifications turned off, the app should not push notifications. If there are notifications that are not “marketing” but are not related to events I have opted into recovering notifications for, there needs to be an option to suppress notifications.
The app should provide options to never provide unsolicited notifications other than for current active events (including events you have dropped from)

You’re absolutely right, and this ties directly into one of the most interesting things in modern marketing: permission and relevance. Today’s users value control over how and when brands communicate with them, and apps that respect notification preferences build more trust and long-term engagement. Instead of pushing unsolicited messages, effective marketing https://fhseohub.com/interesting-thing-about-marketing-and-sales/ focuses on sending fewer notifications that are directly tied to active, opted-in events, which improves user experience, reduces frustration, and ultimately leads to stronger brand loyalty.

The concern about receiving marketing notifications even when they’re turned off in settings is valid, as it can interrupt workflow and affect trust in the app. Clear communication and respecting user choices are essential for a positive experience. In fact, understanding how notifications are crafted — from timing to wording — can make a big difference, and this guide on creating push titles https://richads.com/blog/a-guide-on-creating-push-titles/ explains useful best practices. Hopefully, feedback like this will encourage more user-friendly approaches.
