A lot of people, especially those who play Arena as a Free to Play (F2P) game will have cards they have no use for. And because there is no way to turn them into wildcards so that they can build a deck they want to play, they're stuck either paying up or with bad decks and unlikely to continue to play. This is especially true towards newer players, who do not have as big a collection.

While I understand a straight swapping system would be bad for the company, the ability to turn unwanted cards into wildcards would be a welcome one. Which is where this suggestion comes in:

For a small fee (be it 10 gems/200 gold, or if more expensive a viable way using gold), you get to turn a set number of points worth of cards into wildcards.

As an example, paying 10 gems (or 200 gold) lets you turn cards into a maximum of 30 points, where commons are 1 point, uncommons are 3 points, rares are 10 points, and mythics are 20 points. Then, you can use those points to make the required wildcards at the same price (1 point for a common wildcard, 3 points for an uncommon, 10 points for a rare and 20 for a mythic).

The benefits of this system means that people with cards they don't want, or like, can then turn them into the cards they want.

The only downside to this is with regards to duplicate protection (once you have 4 of a card you can't get more of that card) and the vault. This feels like a better way to deal with the issue.
