Trade in System
Please make some way to trade in cards for wild cards. I’ve spent a couple hundred dollars on this game and can hardly finish a deck. It’s very difficult to get the cards you want because there are very few rewards for you to earn… so then I fall into the trap and buy gems. As a new player, I’ve made a lot of mistakes. Please come up with some kind of way to trade. I don’t care if it’s only rare! Or even if you have to trade in 5 or for just 1 wild! At least that’s a start.

If I could trade TWO or THREE actual MYTHIC cards, for one WILDCARD, that would mean a loss of 50% or 66%, but it would be better than having to re-acquire mythic wildcards.

The current system is broken for players on a budget who want to play standard competitively. Every time I want to craft a mythic I need to purchase about 20 or so packs to get a mythic wildcard. Most competitive decks play about 5-10 mythic cards. If you do the math, it comes out to be a very expensive transaction to switch decks.
Every successful free to play TCG in the market allows for breaking down an existing collection into the equivalent of fractions of wildcards. Ex. Hearthstone uses disenchanting dust, Gwent uses scraps. Even MTGO has a better system for exchanging cards: the secondary market. The secondary market made it so it was easy enough to assemble a deck without spending obscene amounts of money. Same for paper MTG. If I spend a lot of money on paper cards, I can at least trade them with friends or card stores. I have no such option in Arena.
I understand some of the reasoning behind making Arena expensive. MTG is not a purely digital product. It is tied to a paper card game and the price of Arena should reflect the price of paper somewhat. It can't be so cheap that players abandon the real life card game for the digital one. If that is the case, then please allow some option to trade cards like what can be done in MTGO. The other solution is the scrapping/dusting system provided by most digital TCG games.

Currently, you can trade wildcards for uncollected cards. You should also be able to trade collected cards for wildcards if you wish. That way you can trade extra cards into the system if you don't need them or if you want more mythic wildcards etc.

A lot of people, especially those who play Arena as a Free to Play (F2P) game will have cards they have no use for. And because there is no way to turn them into wildcards so that they can build a deck they want to play, they're stuck either paying up or with bad decks and unlikely to continue to play. This is especially true towards newer players, who do not have as big a collection.
While I understand a straight swapping system would be bad for the company, the ability to turn unwanted cards into wildcards would be a welcome one. Which is where this suggestion comes in:
For a small fee (be it 10 gems/200 gold, or if more expensive a viable way using gold), you get to turn a set number of points worth of cards into wildcards.
As an example, paying 10 gems (or 200 gold) lets you turn cards into a maximum of 30 points, where commons are 1 point, uncommons are 3 points, rares are 10 points, and mythics are 20 points. Then, you can use those points to make the required wildcards at the same price (1 point for a common wildcard, 3 points for an uncommon, 10 points for a rare and 20 for a mythic).
The benefits of this system means that people with cards they don't want, or like, can then turn them into the cards they want.
The only downside to this is with regards to duplicate protection (once you have 4 of a card you can't get more of that card) and the vault. This feels like a better way to deal with the issue.
