This just happened to me but it was specific to casting a card RIGHT as the main phase was timing out completely. I commented with more detail on a more specific bug here: https://feedback.wizards.com/forums/918667-mtg-arena-bugs-product-suggestions/suggestions/48394052-card-unplayable-timeout

Yes, this just happened to me as well. This is similar to the "card stuck on stack" bug at https://feedback.wizards.com/forums/918667-mtg-arena-bugs-product-suggestions/suggestions/44110044-card-stuck-on-stac

However, for me I knew I was about to time out and I was deciding whether to play a card and I released it JUST as my main phase completely timed out including all timers and the game acted really weirdly. It placed the card on the stack but didn't cast the spell, and the life indicator on the card kept changing as I went though my end phase and subsequent turns. It stayed for the rest of the game before returning to my hand after I died. Logs and screenshots attached in case it helps anyone out.

yeah this is a nearly infinite and effortless combo. you could draw your whole deck AND end up with an unlimited number of rats. here's a video in case it helps: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/hmk9ik24508brarfrdos0/took_long_enough.mp4?rlkey=g43wd1u1ihwh5be6xgn7yc7e5&dl=0

it's definitely an infinite combo, my opponent would probably have milled me to death if he didn't misclick at the end there

I made a video but it's too big to attach: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/w9rspucy06ocw36zexc5q/bull-hit_of_gondor.mp4?rlkey=s41rjgnablpydn2viasmzxj3q&dl=0
