To Report a Bug or Provide Feedback

Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.



Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)

If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Choose the Category that describes your problem.

Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.

  1. Summarize the problem
  2. List the steps you took that led to the problem
  3. What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
  4. What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps

Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.

  1. Open the life tracker and start a game
  2. Try to remove or add life to my life total
  3. Actual: my life total didn’t change
  4. Expected: my life total goes up or down
You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

1.  What type of device you’re using
2. What version of your operating system you’re using
3. A screenshot of the issue (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
4. Whether re-starting the application and attempting the steps again solved the problem

  2. Event Link

    Hey, our store uses Event Link for our Magic tournaments and we've had several instances where parts of the generated code are offensive- hoping you all could potentially look at that and perhaps figure out a way to ensure particular letters don't come together.

  4. Missing Creature Typ

    In the Companion App Gather Version is the Creature Typ 》Phyrexian《 missing.
    Cards like Phyrexian Crusader don't have the Creature Typ Phyrexian.

  5. Random card?

    It would be nice if the card database had a random card button like Gatherer does. I like looking at random cards to get ideas of stuff to build around

  6. Commander tournaments

    There is already the option to track life for commander games in the app.
    Seeing that single elimination is an option already as well, simply applying the option to pair multiple players into the matches (pods), would allow stores, events like conventions, and even at home to host commander tournaments easily.
    As a heavy commander player who has to usually govern such in store events manually, this would be a massive help. Also, it would be huge to have such a thing functioning for command zones at conventions like the upcoming pax unplugged.

    “Commander Events” are definitely on our backlog! The trickiest part of implementation has been that each Commander community defines a “Commander Event” differently, making pairing difficult.

  7. Add store locator

    Can you add the store locator to the app? It would make it much easier to find stores on the go.

  8. Round Start Notifications still sent after Dropping

    After dropping from an event (via TO) notifications for the next round are still sent via push on Android. Companion app correctly identifies my status in the event as dropped, but notifications continued for all of the remaining two rounds of the event.

  9. Adjust Commander Player Count

    Hi!

    I'm using your companion App.

    I like it so far!

    When playing commander, regardless how many players are playing, there are always 3 counter for Commander damage. 1 for each opponent as if you were playing with 4 players.

    Can you fix that? So that playing with 3 players only has 2 Commander damage counters and playing with 2 only 1 but not 3!?!

  10. Make companions watermark search list-based

    Not a bug or anything, but I think the function of searching by mark could really use some improvement. With the new set being out I wanted to search for cards with the Brokers’ watermark, but none showed up. I had no idea why, since you search by writing the name rather than picking from a list. I still don’t know whether that mark isn’t put in yet or if it has a different name. I tried a few others, and only about half worked. This issue could probably be fixed by just making it a list like with the…

  11. Add Card Collections

    To better facilitate deck building, and make the card function better, I reccomentd adding the ability to create a card collection. There should be the ability to create and manage multiple lists so you can add things to them and compare or even pull out your phone to show someone the cards you are looking for.

    I think a great feature to add would be the ability to delete an event you created from the list of available events.

    Instead of trying to load into the companion app to see the seat number in a new round, include it in the push notification when the round starts.

  15. Allow team name for team events

    Allow team name for team events.

    For team events such as two headed giant and team trios, allow players to be able to submit a team name for their team. ♡

  16. Error: Sorry! We are currently experiencing issues. Please try again later.

    Companion doesn't Allow me to join events. It asks for my name and then gives me the error message in the title. This happened at an in store prerelease on Saturday and is still happening today. I'm on an android phone ( ver 9). I've restarted the app, updated the app, and restarted the phone, but nothing changes.

  17. App Suggestions

    So far I have liked the app a good deal for the last few months I've been using it with friends, these are just things I think would be beneficial with minimal hard changes.

    -Everytime I launch this app I question why there's a home screen if it's going to be empty. I think this should be either scrapped or better utilized. Maybe have links to articles, rules updates, or something of that nature

    -I'd like to be able to save/favorite cards in the database for quick reference (like foreign cards in my decks or rulings)

  18. Change color in life tracker

    Just a small feature that allow us to set which background color would be in every seat. Me and my friend are bound to specific colors in mtg and seats when we are playing so it would be great to adjust which color is where in life tracker

  19. As a tournament viewer...

    Once the tournament starts, it would be nice if entering the code anyone could consult all previous turns' results and the current standings, even if you're not a tournament player, so that anyone could be up-to-date during the tournament (maybe a friend is taking part and you wanto to see how he's going)

  20. Delete a bad event

    Being unfamiliar with this, I only now realize that if you remove yourself from the event you’re hosting, the event will crash every time you click Continue. Now I have 4 hosted events that I cannot host or delete. How do I get rid of these “bad” events?
