    This is outrageous!
    a) This bug does not show up on a typical Google search.
    b) I made a support request, and they did not know about this bug until I told them it was likely a known issue that anyone can check out, and then they checked here and found this post.
    c) They need to either fix this asap, or refund the purchase to everyone affected. I believe it is literally illegal to charge for a purchase (digital product) and then take it away via messed-up programming game updates, but IANAL.
